NMWU wire stands for Nonmetallic Moisture-resistant Wet Underground cable. It is a type of nonmetallic-sheathed electrical cable designed for outdoor and direct burial applications. The tough PVC jacket makes it highly resistant to moisture, sunlight, and soil conditions, ensuring long-lasting performance in wet or underground environments.
Typical NMWU wire uses include exposed and concealed wiring in dry or damp locations and in Category 1 and 2 locations, where the cable is not exposed to mechanical damage. Zetastone Cable offers high-quality NMWU wires designed for durability and reliable performance in such environments.
